 &lt;/span&gt;Child &lt;tt&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt;"&gt;Web.Config&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/tt&gt; files override configuration settings specified by their parents. This means that you do not need to copy the complete contents of a parent &lt;tt&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt;"&gt;Web.Config&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/tt&gt; file when creating a &lt;tt&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt;"&gt;Web.Config&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/tt&gt; lower in the hierarchy.
